Oh my, the nostalgia. My mother has a large collection of their books?

Much of my childhood reading was from those comics :D

I do like these monocolours you've been putting out :D

Thanks! Haha Now I just need to churn out coloured stuff so it doesn't look like that's all I do. xD

They are all pretty nice drawings, but I can't help but feel the colour of her hair seems...out of place? I am not sure lol.

kmau responds:

Thanks, I contemplated using her natural hair color at one point, but somehow the green pulls her design together, especially when put in contrast to the world and people around her (which are obviously not depicted here), who are mostly colorless / blue- / brownscale.

A good bit of work.

If I was to give advice on it, it would be with the lighting and shadows.

As it is, the shadows seem inconsistent, most seem to suggest that the light is coming directly from the right, not from an elevated source.

To help sort that problem, what I do is ; I draw an arrow on an edge of the picture to dictate a light direction, and I draw shadows on the opposite side that make sense.

For example the arrow is on the right, facing left, the left side of her legs, hair, skirt, neck, arm waist and probably her left ear would be partly in shadow.
